The first 2 weeks in August were full of travelling, concerts, teaching and working on TABs for the TuneFox application. I played 2 concerts with The Songs Of The Fall in La Roche sur Foron (France) and Bytřička (Czech Republic). Cia Cherryholmes and Stetson Adkisson are wonderful people and musicians and you can read abouth their tour in Europe in Bluegrass Today.
After the show at Starý dobrý western with Cia and Stetson I traveled to Slovakia where the second Bluegrass Wellness 2017 workshop took place. The mix of attendants was great and I was suprised by the number of young people who came to learn how to play and sing bluegrass music. It seems that our concept of combining group and individual lessons, jamming and concerts with wellness activities, great hospitality of the Hotel Marlene and Kysucke Beskydy Moutains environment is appealing and we already booked two dates for Bluegrass Wellness workshop in July and August 2018. Thanks to Eva Beňačková for her help with organizing and to my colleagues Ralph Schut and Peter Mečiar (plus Petr Vošta, Henrich Novák and Vítek Hanulík who taught at the BGW in July) for their hard work! With Ralph Schut I drove from Slovakia directly to Jihlava, Czech Republic where our minitour began on Thursday, August 10th. The next day I was giving individual guitar lessons and played another concert with Ralph in Dobronín, CZ. On Saturday 12th I finally got home to play the last concert with Ralph in Zlaté Hory. Tired but happy with so many nice recollections. We recorded the following video after one hard day at Bluegrass Wellness workshop.
